The Prophet (ﷺ) placed fifty of his companions on a small mountain near the battlefield of Uhud, and ordered them not to leave their positions on the mountain whatever the circumstances. But they disobeyed his orders, so the Muslim army was defeated.

So, they set out with 3,000 fighters, whereas the Muslims went out against them with 700 fighters and camped beside the Mount of Uhud.</p><p data-aos='fade-left' data-aos-duration='800'>&bull; Before the start of the battle, the Prophet (ﷺ) ordered 50 good-archers to station themselves on the Archers' Mount and shoot the polytheists' army with arrows. </p><p data-aos='fade-left' data-aos-duration='800'>&bull; However, when the archers (RA) saw the retreat of the polytheists, they thought that the battle was over. So, many of them went down to collect spoils, violating the orders of the Prophet (ﷺ) not to leave their positions on the mount.</p><p data-aos='fade-left' data-aos-duration='800'>&bull; This mistake allowed the polytheists to rally around the Muslims and attack them from behind.
